External uses of Ephedra
Native Americans used Ephedra to treat external wounds. Ephedra was used to promote healing, stop bleeding and as an anti-microbial agent. You can make your own herbal Ephedra poultice by boiling some ephedra stems in hot water and placing them in a cloth. Hold the cloth over the effected area.
